Celtic Fling (2011)

Sunday 6th March 2011, 3pm
City Halls, Glasgow

Owen and Olly donned their kilts and reeled, rattled and rolled their way to Glasgow's City Halls for a fabulous ceilidh concert.

There were pipes, drums and fiddles galore as the boys were joined by Scotland's best: the internationally acclaimed Whistlebinkies, the mighty Albannach, world champion Highland dancer David Wilton and the funky and fabulous clarsach virtuoso Savourna Stevenson.

"I really enjoyed the clarsach music because I've never heard a clarsach before"

Owen, Age 8

"I loved Albannach because I liked the drums and the wild man's hair went all over the place!"

Amy, Age 9

"I thought David Wilton was fantastic and very brave when he was dancing over the swords, plus it was good when he showed us how to do it too."

Caitlin, Primary 5

"The Whistlebinkies music was calming. They showed how one instrument can become a song, when you add each instrument at a time."

Kirsten, Primary 7
